Fortnite Gets Playing-Time Limits to Fight Back Addiction

● Nowadays, battle royale games - such as Fortnite, PUBG and the debutant Apex Legends - E-sports and online games in general are increasingly becoming favorite entertaining platforms for so many people across the world, especially kids and teenagers. And due to the addictive nature of such games, many communities believe that these gaming platforms are growing to be means of wasting time for so many youngsters who happen to be unable to control themselves whilst spending hours and hours gaming and playing endlessly. And whilst some countries believe that it's an individual choice whether to play or not play these rising games, others believe that legal actions must be carried out to fight back the addictive nature of the rising online games.

Online Games / E-sports Are Turning Into Serious Addictions in 2019

• Recently, the Chinese government placed some serious playing-time limitations on the very viral battle royale game Fortnite. Officials stated that the Fortnite game can turn into an increasing addiction that can't be pushed back individually which, consequently, prompted the authorities to issue some legal commands regarding the span of gaming times of Fortnite.

Many Communities Are Considering Playing-Time Limitations on Popular Games

• Such legal decisions on an online game isn't, in fact, the first; by the start of March, the state of Gujarat in India banned its people from playing another popular game, PUBG; anyone who played the game after the legal ban got arrested which led to about 16 arrests and counting. Nevertheless, the situation in China is a little bit different since the authorities are planning to only allow a certain number of hours of playing the Fortnite game after which the player won't be able to continue the gaming session as before. The upcoming time limitations of the Fortnite game in China aren't  just going to permit a significant number of gaming hours, but also the player is going to be facing some barriers within the gaming sessions. If the player continues with the gaming session after the allowed time, he'll be suffering from decreasing XP gains and he will be also hindered and slowed down during the Fortnite challenges.

Teenagers & Young Adults Are The Very Top Fans of Online Games & E-sports

• The Fortnite platform has a worldwide audience and many countries believe that the game is designed to be played for many hours - more than three hours - and that's why there hasn't been any serious complaints regarding the addiction Fortnite would bring to the too enthusiastic gamers. And if the battle royale game happens to be an uncontrolled propeller of addiction, then many people think that placing time limitations on such popular games won't be an effective solution because a) this era belongs to E-sports and online gaming platforms and players all over the world are more than eager to try out every new aspect of these games; and b) there are other sufficient ways of handling any addictive facets of these games - such as parental controls. Yet whilst the battle royale games seem to be facing some troubles regarding their attractively alluring gaming nature, it can't be assured that any legal ban would stop the fans from playing these currently beloved games.
